  2.                                   FLASHMATH HELP AND INFO

  4.      The author of Flashmath is George Cole.  It is written with Microsoft
  5. Visual Basic.  The object of the program is to help students memorize
  6. certain math fundamentals, such as the multiplication tables.
  7.  
  8.     Although there is no charge for Flashmath, the author hopes that any-
  9. one using the program will send a note, or postcard with thoughts, sug-
  10. gestions, or constructive criticisms.  It can be a lonely job and any feed-
  11. back is appreciated.

  16.   Program Information
  17.   Note: Some menu items will have a check mark by the item if it is active.  Select it 
  18.            again to make it inactive.

  20.   1.  File Menu
  21.      
  22.        Picking a Menu Item will start or change to the math process
  23.        indicated.

  25.   2. Options Menu

  27.       Timer :  Will start the timer, which will beep when the time is up.
  28.       Timer Amount : Sets the length of time in seconds before the beep.
  29.       Set Pause : Sets the pause after a correct answer in seconds.
  30.       Answer Button : Displays a button that when clicked will give the answer.
  31.       Multiplication Table : Will display a times table.
  32.       Add same number : Wll only have addition problems adding two of the same number.
  33.       Add same plus 1 : Will only have addition problems adding same plus one.

  35.   3. Limits

  37.      You may set the high numbers for each type of math process.  For multiplication
  38.      you can select a specific number to multiply with.  Enter 0 to turn it off.

  40.   4.  Picture 
  41.      
  42.        With this option you may change the background picture.  Five picture files are
  43.        provided with this program.  They are Super.bmp, Mermaid.bmp, Blastoff.bmp                   Bart.bmp and Stooges.bmp.  You may load any 16 bit BMP file as a background.
  44.        If the file is bigger than the window, the file will be clipped.  You may make the 
  45.        file the correct size with any windows paint program.
