- FLASHMATH HELP AND INFO

- The author of Flashmath is George Cole. It is written with Microsoft
- Visual Basic. The object of the program is to help students memorize
- certain math fundamentals, such as the multiplication tables.

- Although there is no charge for Flashmath, the author hopes that any-
- one using the program will send a note, or postcard with thoughts, sug-
- gestions, or constructive criticisms. It can be a lonely job and any feed-
- back is appreciated.

- Program Information
- Note: Some menu items will have a check mark by the item if it is active. Select it
- again to make it inactive.

- 1. File Menu
-
- Picking a Menu Item will start or change to the math process
- indicated.

- 2. Options Menu
-
- Timer : Will start the timer, which will beep when the time is up.
- Timer Amount : Sets the length of time in seconds before the beep.
- Set Pause : Sets the pause after a correct answer in seconds.
- Answer Button : Displays a button that when clicked will give the answer.
- Multiplication Table : Will display a times table.
- Add same number : Wll only have addition problems adding two of the same number.
- Add same plus 1 : Will only have addition problems adding same plus one.

- 3. Limits

- You may set the high numbers for each type of math process. For multiplication
- you can select a specific number to multiply with. Enter 0 to turn it off.

- 4. Picture

- With this option you may change the background picture. Five picture files are
- provided with this program. They are Super.bmp, Mermaid.bmp, Blastoff.bmp Bart.bmp and Stooges.bmp. You may load any 16 bit BMP file as a background.
- If the file is bigger than the window, the file will be clipped. You may make the
- file the correct size with any windows paint program.
